RLSBC Choral Scolarship

The Royal Leamington Spa Bach Choir, which is a registered charity, is always looking at different ways to forge a link with the community. As a choir we are keen to encourage young singers to join us and broaden their experience of choral music.

We would like to offer a limited number of choral scholarships for the 2011 – 2012 season.

These scholarships are open to anyone aged 16 – 25 with a keen interest in singing and a willingness to commit to the Choir’s rehearsal and concert schedule.

The choir’s season usually consists of four concerts a year with weekly rehearsals on a Wednesday night (7:30pm – 9:45pm) at Lillington Primary School.

The application process will consist of a short interview followed by an audition with our conductor.

Successful applicants will be expected to attend a minimum of 80% of rehearsals per term and all concerts. (Concert schedule will be available at the start of the season).

In return the applicant will receive a bursary of £60 per term for three terms, payable at the end of each term; free music hire; free membership of the choir for the year and two free tickets for the RLSBC concert of your choice during the year.

If you are interested in finding out more or wish to apply for a scholarship please contact the choir’s Chairman Norman McKeown (details below).
