CONCERT STAGING TEAM - VOLUNTEERS NEEDED ...!!!
How would you like to help out before and after our concerts by taking
an active role in the Concert Team ?
We have a vacancy from September this year (2010), and would like one or
more new helpers to spread the load!
This is a vital role for the choir, being particularly suitable for
anyone with a bit of spatial & technical awareness and loads of
energy!!! But don't be alarmed, as the
responsibilities are shared among the whole concert management crew.
As you may have seen at recent concerts, our expert team takes full
control of arranging the venue, staging, seating, lights etc, often with
the help of other choir volunteers who help out with the manual work -
like loading/unloading vans, moving and constructing staging, setting out chairs,
etc.
If you are interested in joining the Concert
Team and learning how you can help out ...please speak to a
member of the current concert management team (see above).
Music to your
Ears
RLSBC is
affiliated to the
Warwick District
Music Promoters Forum
(WDMPF), a group of promoters of musical events taking place around
Warwick District which includes the historic towns of Warwick,
Kenilworth and Royal Leamington Spa and some delightful Warwickshire
villages.
The quality of music provided in this area for members of the public is
of a very high standard, in a variety of venues, both town and country
and Music
to your Ears provides
a handy diary of these attractions and concerts. There is a strong base
of orchestral and choral societies in the district whose musical
contribution is enhanced by numerous visiting artists who come to
perform on a regular basis, which ensures that local music lovers have
their musical taste buds constantly enriched.
On the Music
to your Ears website which
can be found at www.musictoyourears.org.uk
you will
find information about forthcoming concerts and festivals and their
promoters. The website also provides a useful anti-clash
diary
to help member societies and other promoters in the planning of events,
to ensure that concerts dates and venues do not overlap and thereby
avoid any adverse impact on audience numbers.
NB: Please note that RLSBC is not responsible for the content of the WDMPF
website.
